Soooo much has happened in the world of animated movies, since the start of 2015. We've been thoroughly spoilt wouldn't you say? At the start of the year, we had the rather strange, Strange Magic, animated musical. As well as the adorably cute Shaun the Sheep Movie from those very clever folk down at Aardman. And of course, the fantastic Home, from Dreamworks.
But let's not forget, possibly the most exciting event in the animated movie world so far...yup, let's not forget it...the moment that Big Hero 6 won the Oscar for Best Animated Movie. Personally, for me, I was thrilled. I adore Big Hero 6 so much. I have very similar feelings for it, as how I feel for Rise of the Guardians - utterly beautiful animation and a story with a big heart. So pleased for Disney and all the folks involved.
Personally for me, I've been super busy too. In February, I started working with a London studio, on an animated series for BBC. It's a children's show, and it's super cute! Lots of strange and wonderful creatures getting into all sorts of big world mischief.
So what's next...well, I don't know about you, but I'm counting down the days until Pixar's latest get released, Inside Out, and of course, who isn't excited about the Peanuts movie? It seems the Popeye movie is being pushed back a bit, due to a director reshuffle after Tartakovsky withdrew...but hey...we also Hotel Transylvania 2 on the horizon. 2015 is shaping up quite nicely, thank you very much :)
As always, thanks for stopping by...and hope to catch up soon!
Marc :)
